Allows the endotracheal tube to be stiffened and shaped as desired to facilitate intubation. It is moderately flexible and can be bent into shape from its straight form.

Made of mallable aluminum covered with a plastic sheath with a lubricated silk-slip surface.

Helps reduce friction between stylet and tracheal tube for easy insertion and withdrawal.

Sheath tip is rounded to reduce the risk of trauma if the stylet extends beyond tip of Endotracheal Tube.

Single use so reduces risk of cross infection.

Effective design allows for easy connection to the suction line.

Right degree of stiffness, flexibility and kink resistance.

Smooth and soft distal tip to facilitate safe insertion.

Provided with radiopaque marking for correct tube placement.
